Blending a bit of the old Spain with the new, the Galeon Hotel is housed in a 5-storey, mid-terrace building, which dates from the 1970s. There’s also a separate, 3-storey Art Deco town house known as Galeon Pavillon. The interior is dated but pleasant, with a simple reception area, a narrow dark bar and a long agreeable dining room. The 74 good-sized guestrooms, accented with wood grain, have a more streamlined feel. Each one features a comfortable bed, plus a bathroom with a shower stall. The hotel offers a Continental style buffet breakfast every morning. The swimming pool is set in a red concrete terrace with ample supply of padded sun loungers. There’s also an attractive courtyard-style garden filled with shady foliage and colourful borders.
