The staff were fantastic, really friendly and accommodating and spoke perfect English. It felt like a family run business, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is very central so very easy to wander through the streets where all the shops and restaurants are. The only thing I would say is we went as a family with a 10 and 13 year old and did not see any other families, mainly couples staying at the hotel. This wasn't really a problem apart from the pool area and pool are not that big so you are always conscious of making too much noise. But no one complained everyone seemed very friendly. We stayed in the Pavillion which is a separate building where the superior rooms are, which means rooms with tea and coffee facilities in them.Would of been nice to have a balcony, but we did get adjacent rooms which had a small courtyard garden. Very quiet until about 9am when the cleaners start work. Overall a lovely place to stay and the buffet breakfast was superb and kept going till 12pm.

We got the monbus from Barcelona airport to Sitges, from Terminal 1. Only about 15 Euros and only takes about 20mins, much cheaper than taxi. There's a free shuttle bus between terminal 1 and 2. Worth taking train into Barcelona for a trip. Buy a T10 ticket works out cheaper if you are going to make 10 trips, can be shared between more than 1 person. In Sitges there are loads of little restaurants tucked away with set 10 or 11 Euro menus, which are 3 courses and wine. Good local food. Avoid the more expensive restaurants on sea front, we had a very disappointing meal. The beaches are great. We liked the one to the left of the church when facing the sea in a bay. Worth a walk along the sea front in both directions.

Outstanding value. Very nice hotel and rooms. Superb breakfast - as good as you will find anywhere.

Really good food can be hard to find in Sitges but the Galeon's sister hotel on the seafront has a really excellent value set meal for dinner and a lovely bar on the top floor.

Galeon Hotel was very conveniently situated, close to shops, restaurants and other amenities. It was great to be able to hire a parasol from the hotel for a deposit of 20 Euros and similarly beach towels for 15 Euros each. The deposit was refundable at the end of the stay. Breakfast in the Hotel Galeon was second to none, both in the range of food supplied and also the fact that it was available from 8 am till 12 am thus avoiding the need to eat lunch! The hotel staff were very helpful in all matters especially the fact that they supplied an extension lead so that we could charge up mobile phones etc. Would definitely recommend to other travellers. As a resident of the Galeon it was also possible to use the roof terrace bar at the sister hotel the Platjador on the sea front. This gives a really pleasant view over the sea and promenade.

It's well worth visiting the Lizarran tapas bar at the top of San Pablo street as well as Izarra, another Basque tapas bar with a cosy atmosphere and very friendly staff. Sitges is a lovely place to visit with very safe clean beaches and a wonderfully welcoming local community.

2nd time we have stayed in this hotel and once again did not disappoint. Refurbishment of the Pavilion has raised the standard of the rooms considerably.
Breakfasts of the usual high standard.
Will definately be booking in again on our next visit.

Avoid La Orca (restaurant) a total rip off.
